No, with all the new materials and modern technology used during the procedure, your tooth should not discolor after the treatment. If you have a tooth that has had a root canal and it has discolored, it is best to have your dentist take a look. It may be that germs (bacteria) have penetrated underneath the old filling, and it is time for a new one.

No, you don't have to worry about tooth discoloration after a root canal treatment. The procedure is much more surgical in nature. Your dentist cleans out the infected cavity of your tooth, especially the root canal area where bunched nerves are located. A root canal treatment is recommended by your dental specialist to prevent the infection from going down into your jaw.

You'll have to ask someone who's had this. I've only learned about he procedure from second-hand information from my dental hygienist who also did a root canal treatment in Smileshop where I had my teeth whitening done.
