Have time for a girlfriend? Say he has a newborn things didnt work out w/the childs mother but he is there for the child 100% does he have time for someone else too even though he has to out his child first and help the mother out.

If he wanted to be with you, he would be.  He wants to be exactly where he is, no matter what he tells you.  Actions do honestly speak louder than words.  Go by his actions.

It is in EXTREMELY bad taste to go out with someone who just had a child.  They need a year minimum to sort things out and, if responsible, will do what's right and marry the other parent of their child.
