There are over 60,000 laws on the books now for Gun Control. Are there people in America that are believing that one more will stop violence? The Gun was not the killer, just the means. The person carrying the firearm was the problem. There are 75 million deer hunting license every year and it is unheard of that one of them premeditates a murder during deer season. Law abiding gun owners don't commit crimes with guns.

A lone gunman dressed in riot gear and wearing a gas mask burst into a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., at a midnight showing of the Batman film “The Dark Knight Rises” and opened fire, killing at least 12 people and injuring at least 50.
 
The suspect, James E. Holmes, 24, of Aurora, was caught by police in the parking lot of the Century 16 Movie Theaters, nine miles outside Denver, after police began receiving dozens of 911 calls at 12:39 a.m. MT. Police said the man appeared to have acted alone.
 
Witnesses in the movie theater said Holmes crashed into the auditorium through an emergency exit about 30 minutes into the film, set off a smoke bomb, and began shooting. Holmes stalked the aisles of the theater, shooting at random, as panicked movie-watchers in the packed auditorium tried to escape, witnesses said.

I guess it is time to change our gun control laws, all right.  Repeal the bunch of them and go straight back to the Second Amendment.  It is about all that makes one bit of sense.

I would delight to eliminate guns entirely, along with the technology to make them and the desire to have them.  These are implements of violence, but of course so are more ancient tools of violence like spears knives and tomahawks.

Anything can be perverted into a weapon including healing herbs.  A tiny amount of foxglove will ease your migraine attacks, angina pectoris, and cause your heart to calm down when it misses beats now and then.  More than just that tiny amount will kill you.  It grows all over and is very quickly lethal.

Herbs keep us alive or can kill.  Guns only kill, but if that is what it takes to defend myself then I don't know that I want to be defended.

Lynn, there is NO provision in Obamacare for mental health care at all.  You must pay for that care directly.  What few benefits you once had under Medicare are gone as of January next year, conveniently timed to take effect AFTER the election.  How cute!

More importantly, this lunatic knew how to manipulate every psychological test that exists. 

As much as I hate to say this, the only solution would have been that everyone in the theater was allowed to carry guns so that they could have stopped this maniac before he fired the second shot.

I hate guns, but this case causes me to think through what I once considered unthinkable.  I don't like it but the result cannot be any clearer.
