No new regs. If the govt set out to find, collect and destroy every gun in the country - the most radical gun control of all, and a nearly impossible task - and if it were eventually accomplished, in the interim we would have what most pro-gun people fear: Only criminals would have guns. The crime rate would sky-rocket. Once the goal was accomplished then you'd have what the far-left wants: a disarmed populace, ripe for exploitation. I'm not much on conspiracy theories and it's hard to imagine, but EVERYTHING about this incident stinks to me (beyond the obvious tragedy). Another shooting spree almost literally on the eve of the vote for the UN's small arms treaty was the first red flag. Then, the immediate (and I mean REALLY quick) revelation that he bought the weapons legally. That one reeks. The gun-grabbers have the ammunition (pun intended) to say "Look, these purchases were legal. We should therefore stop all sales of guns period, since the background checks miss nuts like this." Next, we hear of his bulletproof garb and how you can buy it legally online any old time. Really? Where? been wanting some of that stuff myself but told you CAN'T buy legally. need more research here. And where did this doctoral student get $20,000 to buy what he allegedly did anyway? A govt grant, it seems is the answer. Finally, he shows up to court so drugged he didn't look like he'd know his own name. Curiouser and curiouser. Bet he lives a very short life now or the trial ends in a quick insanity verdict and he goes to live quietly in an obscure facility somewhere. I'm not convinced of anything I'm hearing about this case, and after the Fast and Furious scandal, designed to make the pro-gun crowd appear as criminals (the real ones are in charge of the so-called Justice Dept., it seems) I'd bet this is F&F version 2.0.
