Should tie breakers be used at Wimbledon after that match lasted for three days?
Mark, I offer this opinion as an avid tennis player, you may go 100 years and not see another match like this, so I'd keep what little is left of the Wimbledon tradition.
ABSOLUTELY KNOT!
Sudden death is for football and cardiac patients. I do not understand how you could even think that this performance should not have happened. Hey, Eric! Give Leo this paint-by-number kit. Tell him to quit painting that ugly serving wench!
Rejoice that you were alive to see this.
Tie-breakers should be used except on the finals.
I agree that long games are a treat to fans but it puts the winner of a long match at a disadvantage for his next round match. Just like what happened to John Isner.
Games of that magnitude are better enjoyed in a finals like Federer - Nadal in 2008, Roddick - Federer in 2009, and there won't be a next match.
A year late ,but the question is still relevant..No tie breakers. It comes down to a state of fitness ,so be it.I personnaly find tennis boring so I don't watch much. But if players want to play for three day let them go at it...These athletes.are in supurb condition.
