I personally know of two USA males who contacted, began a relationship with, and eventually brought Russian woman to the USA and were married. One of these couples is extremely happy and married now for about 7 years. The other couple has split up as she truly just wanted USA citizenship. I guess you take your chances. There are good and bad in every race, in every country, but if you're serious about any possible foriegn bride, there are some precautions you need to take and consider.

1. do not rush into anything with any particular person.

2. Plan on making a trip to their country, meet the parents, and if necessary pay for a translator.

3. While the subject of work and finances always arises, do not admit to having great wealth of any kind. (I have always told them that I am an honest and hard working man, but by USA standards, I am a poorman.)

4. do not send them any money until after you meet them and get to know them - and even then, send money sparingly. If you need to pay certain fees for them or airline tickets, try to pay them here. If you do need to send money to them, send either what they ask for or less, do not send more.

5. Although it is tempting to most men, try to select a woman close to your age. In my searches, I selected women my age plus/minus 5 or 6 years. The younger the woman, the larger the age difference, the better the chances that she only wants you so she can leave her country. Also, if the age difference is too great, you will run problems with US immigration later when you try to get her a US visa to enter the USA.

I realize that most of what I have said paints a negative picture of foreign brides, but this is not my intention. I have personally gone through all of this, as I married a Chinese bride and have brought her to the USA. We are happily in love and doing very well. However, before I found this woman, I did meet a few Chinese women online that were only interested in leaving China.

Any relationship outside the U.S. with foreign women usually is not a good idea.  I knew a few men in the military who got into a real pickel with Russian sites.  The women are extremely beautiful and lushious and they come with a family all waiting to come to the U.S.

One guy I knew overseas actually went to Russia to meet the woman and her family.  All was fabulous and he married her.  He is still trying to get a divorce as she brought her entire family to U.S. and then left him.

America is full of gorgeous women and they are not all spoiled rotten and high maintenence.  You know what happened to Dorthy of Kansas in the Wizard of Oz turned out her happiness was in her own backyard.
