If you or someone you know has figured out that they have experienced ID theft, it can be really terrifying. First people need to understand just what is identity fraud, and learn about all of the ways someone can harm you by pretending to be you. Then you have to learn ways to prevent identity fraud in order to keep it from progressively getting worse. Make sure you have alerted everyone from the credit bureaus to the police if you have become an identity theft victim so you can protect your reputation and credit.
