It worked out great ...
I have unlocked two phones to date. The first one was a T-Mobile phone that I bought on eBay. I went to the T-Mobile store and they were clueless so I called Tech Support for T-Mobile. Tech support had me take out the battery and read them a long number on the phone under the battery. They then told me that they had to email the information to me. I don't remember why they said they had to email the info, but it arrived in a couple of days with step by step instructions and worked fine.
The second phone I bought to use on T-Mobile, but it was an AT&T phone. I was actually able to get AT&T's Tech support phone number from the T-Mobile store personnel. I called AT&T Tech support and they again emailed me detailed instructions on how to unlock the phone. It was easy and free. I hope this helps.

have you setup a lock passward for you mobile phone? if not, contatc with your mobile phone provider or mobile network provider.I think it has something to do with the PUK no. The provider will give you a number such as "*...#".
