Presumably you have removed the virus.

Assuming you are referring to a shortcut to the program, and not the program itself!

The icon you fail to find can be replaced with a shortcut.

Go to My computer\c:\programs\

Look for the Burn CD program ( I use ImgBurn) you use, then either RIGHT  CLICK\OPEN or DOUBLE CLICK the left mouse button on the application icon.

If unsure what the application is, at the top of the screen showing all the files of the Burn Program, click on VIEW, and choose Details.

The files listed will now show files names, Size and TYPE.

Look at those that TYPE shows "Application".

Be sure that you do not do anything to "uninstall" or "Remove".

THERE MAY BE ONE OR MORE OTHER "APPLICATIONS"

On The largest SIZE of them, use the  mouse to Right click on its icon, a new window will open. Near the bottom, you will see "Create Shortcut". Left click on the "Create Shortcut". A new line will appear with an icon and the label "Shortcut to BURN CD (or the name of your application)".

Right click on the icon, and choose CUT using mouse Left click.

Go to the desktop, and at an empty space, mouse Right click.

Choose PASTE, the shortcut to your Burn CD program will now appear.

  1. Right-click the desktop and click Properties.
  2. Click the Desktop tab.
  3. Click Customize desktop.
  4. Click the General tab, and then click the icons that you want to place on the desktop.
  5. Click OK.
