What digital cameras are the best for filming good quality video clips?

When looking for a camera to shoot vidieo there are some things to consider. What are you going to do with the vidieo your shooting? If it is just to share with friends and family there is a large choice of point and shoots that will do the job. They are easy to use and easy to work with as far as downloading and computer work.

  On the other hand if it is high quality video that you want to shoot you will need a Digital SLR. Right now Canon is number one in high end DSLRs. You Will need to decide what your budget is. If you can afford it go for a camera with a full frame sensor. These camera's are expensive but they will do the best Full HD video. Some of the rebel line from Canon also shoot video in full HD 1080.  I hear that Nikon will be releasing a new camera with full HD video soon. The advertising campaign has already started.

 I agree with Tim. A budget will decide what the "BEST" is. Movies and T.V. shows are now being filmed, either partially or completely with the Canon 5D MKll, the last episode of "Bones" was filmed with that camera system. And even the Canon 550D(Rebel) has a great HD ability. And this camera body sells for less than $1,000.

So think about both budget and also realistically, how they will be used and then maybe ask again,

I have a $149 Power Shot SD 1200 S and the video quality on that is extremely good for a little cheaper version.
