Discuss Missy Jones's answer to: When should I teach my daughter how to smoke?

My oldest daughter asked about smoking at age 11. I told her if she was serious we would discuss it when she turned 12. Shortly before her 12th. birthday she asked again. We talked about it and I knew she really wanted to. so, one of her birthday gifts was a pink cigarette case and lighter with a pack of Marlboro Ultra Light 100's. She was so happy and asked if she could really start smoking. I said, Yes if you want to. I was amazed when she opened the pack, took out a cigarette and lite it. She then took a deep drag on it and inhaled. To my amazement she didn't cough or anything. She held it in for a few seconds and then slowly exhaled. She had the biggest smile on her face and said, Wow that was great. Well that was almost 6 years ago. She is now a beautiful senior honor student who is on the basketball and track team and is a chearleader. She now smokes about two packs a day. Her two younger sisters, now 15 and 13 also started smoking on their 12th. birthday. They are all very pretty, polite young ladies. We do get some strange looks sometimes while out in public and smoking. I always laugh when people stare at us and my 13 year old takes a deep long drag on her cigarette and then blows smoke towards them. I have allowed them to choice their own brands. I still smoke Marlboro Ultra Lights. My seventeen year old Judy now smokes Capri's, her 15 year old sister Dawn smokes Marlboro Menthol's and my youngest Jenny smokes Newport's. My husband owns his own business and is very successful so we can easily afford to buy their cigarettes. I haven't regreted letting them smoke because I see what a pleasure it is to them.
