Tax Identification Number of Wells Fargo, DE

I have tried to obtain the tax identification number of Wells Fargo Bank in Delaware, but have been unsucessful. I tried calling the administrative offices, the human resources department, as well as tried to get it from various web pages that claim that they can locate the tax id number.  I am a former employee and am trying to efile my taxes.  When I contacted my former supervisor, I was told that they do NOT put the number on the W-2.  An accountant advised me that the number is a public record number, but I am having trouble obtaining the information.  I need help!!!! Thanking in advance for any assistance.
