If the pentagram is right side up, meaning 1 point up, it means the person is a wanna be who wants to shock people and has no clue about the pentagram or Satan. If the pentagram is upside down, meaning 2 points up, they may actually be trying to be a satanist. If there is a goat head in the pentagram, they're definitely nasty people you want nothing to do with. You see, the pentagram is a symbol similar to the cross. Right side up it means good things and protection. Upside down it reflects evil, blasphemy and the misuse of those things.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

A pentagram is usually just a pentagram, no matter which way it is turned...There are some folks who think that it means devil worshiping by having the top point down...To a pagan it is just a pentagram and you will find it means know harm.. 

Now the pentagram has been around for ever and ever while Satanism has only been around for under 2000 yrs. To truly know ask the wearer what it means to him... Hope this helps.
