When I was in India I made myself this amazing heavy cotton hammock , It has served me very well , but when I came back home I forget it in a moist place. Now is is still strong but it is covered with black dots of mold , I already put it in the sun and it took the living mold off , but it left black dots.
How can I take it off without hurting the fabric ( after all it is a hammock and it supposed to be strong ) , and without leaving the black color , should I use bleach ?
If you live in a humid climate, you have to deal with mold and mildew growing everywhere. Although you can buy products, there is a product in your home that will do just as good of a job...maybe even better. Here's how:
how do I get mold off a cotton & Polyester shower curtain?
I CAN'T use bleach as it will take the color out. Is there any other way?

That is a great answer by yoavdothan. I just found a great article on black mold that describes the mold, how to clean the black mold and some potential health risks from black mold.
