Taking several meals a day?

To get rid of excess fat, it's advisable to eat 5-7 small meals a day. But, is it healthy? But I read that it takes around 4 hours for your digestion systems to finish digesting food you take.

Yes, it is healthy. It keeps both your blood sugar and energy levels at consistent rates. However, please do note that it says SMALL meals.
