how to keep whipping cream pound cake soft on top. My whipping cream pound cake always finish baking with a crunch top and crumbly as time goes by. The rest fo the cake is fine. Just the top.

why didn't my cake taste right? I used the correct amount of ingredients. I didn't cream the butter with the sugar. I sifted it with the flour. Did this make it taste like cornbread?
