My daughter is expecting her third baby. Her other children are 13 and 11. She lost all of her baby things in Hurricane Katrina. Her friend wants to give her a baby shower, is this appropriate?

don't you have to put the baby's sex on the birth certificate in England?...I was born there 63 years ago and my sex in on my English birth certificate.

How awful. Why would anyone not celebrate gender? That is akin to rejection of the person...the parents are nuts and wanting attention.
