Hi Crucialized.  Do you do any heavy lifting, or did you lift anything heavy before the onset of these symptoms?  I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like you have a hernia.  Nonetheless, you should go see your doctor or visit your local emergency room.  Five months is a long time and where there has been no improvement, something is wrong.

Best of luck to you!

I agree with Mayhaven, there are a lot of things that can cause a swollen belly, a hernia being one of them. You could have a tumor  or a digestive problem such as the liver. You need to see a Physician so that you can be tested and properly diagnosed.

Be Blessed and good luck

Be Blessed. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.

are you on any new medication i feel the same way i have been taking chantex to qiut smoking think i am retaining water havent been sweating when i would always sweat whether it is 10 deg-or hot out let me know if yo find the answer thanks

If you want it done and done right the first time do it yourself

I have been taking venlafaxine 225mg for almost 1/2 month for deep depression and than I quit taking that two months ago. I don't know if this swelling is related to that because I got this swelling after I started or after quiting taking venlafaxine. Also I workout regularly and yes I am going to have a physician to look at it and see what does he or she says. I'll definetely let you guys know about it when i'll find out whats going on.

thanks all of you for the replies that helped me to know what to do though.
