Doing cardio is probably your best bet for losing weight. Running, rollerblading, biking, etc. 3-4 times a week is a good starting point. Try to just go for 30 minutes in the beginning.
Once you've started and that isn't making you sore, go for up to 45 minutes. Just this simple act of working regular card into your routine will do wonders for you.
Also, start eating healthy. Cut out junk from your diet, and try eating foods that look something like what they were before they were killed. Chicken, salmon, & apples = good. Coco-puffs, snickers bars, & potato chips = not good.
