Sushi and wine

I'm planning a Sushi dinner for some friends of mine, and would also like to serve some wine.

3 main Japanese wines:

Sake (made of rice and water) - the most classical Japanes alcohol, best served hot. Goes well with Sushi.

Nihonshu - similar to Sake. Also served cold.

Umeshu - Japanese plum wine. Sweet and liquoer like.

Other than the original Japanese wine, i guess Sushi is such a great food that any kind of wine would work with it. Specifically i would recommend white wine (non sparkling) which is more suitable to the fish taste.
