I'd like to see someone who does not believe it is his or her right to make laws. The Constitution is the rule book. The legislative branch is granted the authority to write laws. The Judiciial branch's authority is to rule on whether or not those laws are Constitutionally legal.

A activist court like we have now makes up law. It would be like a football umpire deciding he doesn't think the rules are fair so he changes the rules as the game progresses. Maybe if Detroit is playing Pittsburgh they should get 5 downs to get a 1st down but shouldn't the rules committee (The Congress) make up the rule not the refs (The Supreme Court)/

I'd like to see Leah Sears on the Supreme Court. She has expeirence in a ruling state court system via Chief Justice of Georgia. It is benefiting for us to have a judge that has been making rulings and judgements in a high court allready. to have a governer or an appeals judge on the supreme court is to have an out of the field person or a person that is an inbetween. being a chief justice of a state is the highest state position held in the judical system of that state.There for it does not matter which poltical side a person plays it is about having a fair judicial system. everything has an opposite.

Jerry, realisticly it might help but we both know that most presidents tend to stick to there own political ideas which tend to ultimintley balances the supreme court most of the decesions the supreme court has made has been beneficail to this country

I would like to see Ron Paul serve on the Supreme Court...a man who has voted in favor of our constitution 100% of the time. Alan Keyes would also be a good candidate for nomination for the Supreme Court.

It has been said that Obama wants the next Supreme Court Justice to be in touch with the people and to show empathy...which is all fine and good. But, what does President Obama think about nominating a man/woman who upholds the constititution?
