Interested in the history of summerhill crystal. . Purchased a piece of summerhill crystal from a closing gift shop. Is there any monetary value in such pieces?

Summerhill Crystal figurines are constructed of 30+% full-lead Austrian crystal. Most of the components are made using Swarovski. Non-Swarovski crystal such as multi-color bases and mountains for castles were used. Those are PBO optic crystal. Most of the PBO components were obtained from Germany. The company was in business for about 15 years and later merged with Crystal Forest, Ltd. (aka Crystal Forest Gifts) which was located in Fairfield, IA.

To answer your question about the monetary value--well lets just say I've been outbid by several bidders on Ebay and other various online auctions. The company has won several awards at the International Collectible show in Indiana for their Looney Tunes Werner Bros. figurines and a Troll w/heart designed for the Norfin Co.
