Pseudomonas is a bacteria that is commonly found in numerous environments.  It can affect humans and animals, as well as other organic materials. (It could even be used to dissipate the pollution caused by the BP oil spill)

This bacteria is resistant to many common antibiotics.  Therefore, it is necessary for a physician to identify the strain and prescribe medications that are known to effectively fight the infection.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
