what is the usual loss percentage when you sell a structured settlement. I.e i have $150,000.00 in one til 2016, I recieve about$590.00 a month from its interest. If i sell it what does my end of the deal look like? Do I get cut 30%, someone please help me theses brokers are vultures and I can't get a straight answer.. Thanks
You will lose from 50 to 70 per cent of your settlement. I would advise that you visit this site and read all the articles and visit the FAQ page before you decide to sell. I have a feeling that once you read everything, you will not sell.

Thank you very much. I knew it was a big percentage but had no idea it was that much! We will definatly not be selling it. Kimberlee
Each and every company offers different percentage. you need to select the best among them. Sun-income taxes fully deductible on your money.

The reason why the brokers can't tell you is because they don't know what the lender will offer until they receive your paperwork. I think you should be able to get more than 30% out of it if you shopped it. I would recommend contacting LawLeaf. They are at http://www.lawleaf.com.
You may also want to contact a few other ones. Don't corner yourself into one company because you don't have to take an offer. If a company makes you sign an agreement not to shop it elsewhere, don't sign. That is a good indication they will charge you a high rate for your settlement.
