Discuss PGroot's answer to: Which us state has the most middle aged?

The states with the most middle aged would be the most populous states:  California 9 million, Texas 6 million.  Or did you mean the highest percentage middle aged?  Probably not California or Texas, which have more children, and probably not Florida which has more seniors. The census bureau says the highest percentage aged 45-64 are Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, all over 30%.
