Starter help

I own a1988 chevy ( 2500 seies) 4 wheel drive a friend took out my starter and broke wires now I need to know how to put wires back on myself,any help would be appreciated I live alone and probably should of done job myself but being a girl it was extremey hard to hold it all by myself.
