At 70? It's time to retire
If your husband has Social Security, and you were married 10 years, and you are over 62, you may be entitled to a spousal benefit even though you are now divorced.
Does your divorce settlement give you any income, like part of his pension?
If you have little savings and no income, try calling 211 for social agency referrals. I'm not sure it works everywhere, but if it does it will save time. You need a place to stay, and some kind of job. You may have to work as a waitress, or a babysitter, or a motel desk clerk, or home health aide.
If I understood your question correctly, you've lost most of your retirement savings in the economy downturn, but that doesn't affect your social security entitlements. My ubnderstanding about spousal benefits only apply upon your spouse passing, not divorce. You can go on-line to www.social security.com (make sure it's the government website) and inquire what you are entitled to, if you aren't receiving benefits already. You are also entitled to Medicare and possibly medicare assistance. Each person's entitlements vary, so you can't depend on what another person is getting to say you'd get the same (depends on your highest 5 year earnings average). Best of luck
