Discuss Marcus Aurelius's answer to: What is a spun hub?

A little more info would help you get an answer.  For instance, it would be handy to know what the hub is from.  On an outboard motor, a spun hub means the safety clutch in the propeller hub has been destroyed by running the motor when the prop is unable to turn, perhaps because it's in contact with the lake bottom a log, timber, rock, or submerged piling.  It can also occur when the prop becomes fouled with an anchor rope or other heavy line or cable.
