Would my son be considered a dependent of my fiance's if he joins the air force?

.My fiance is thinking about joining the air force. He was told that he can only have 2 dependents. We have a 2 yr old son together and I have a 6 yr old from a previous relationship who receives child support from his father. We are planning to get married before he joins My question is would my 6 yr old be considered a dependent of my fiance? And would this prevent him from being able to enlist?

It wouldn't stop him from enlisting. They want to know if he supplies the majority of the cost to support the child.

The USAF is consistent with all the other Armed Forces in their treatment of dependents.  Recruits can have any number of dependents, and they will receive allowances and benefits for all of them.  One if free comprehensive medical.

I highly recommend joining the armed forces.

There burns no hotter fire in hell than that reserved for cowards, home wreckers, and troublemakers. Be warned accordingly.
