In ordinary mathematical progression, there would be no correlation.  However, there may be an answer if we use Roman numerals:

6, 5, 15, 10, 70 . . ..

VI, V, XV, X, XXXC, XXCX, XCXX, CXXX, XXCM . . ..

I agree that VI, V, XV, X makes sense as Roman numerals.  But 70 should be LXX, not XXXC.  So it's not clear if the next number should be LX (60) or L (50).  Or perhaps 70 was in error and it should have been 60 (LX).
