I noticed when I bought a jar of nuts they were packed in a container with an air tight cover.

When I kept unshelled nuts on the table they became soggy. You can always roast them to make them tasty again.

Heat it in a frypan in a low flame and let it cool before storing it, or as suggested above--roast it
