Have you ever done something or been somewhere for the first time in your life and felt that it was very familiar as though you had been there done that before?

Yes, that had happened to me a few times. 2 good explanations,

1. You may have been there in you past life. I do believe we all had past lives.

2. It was a dream you had, the dream was about the place or thing that you never saw or visited before but the dream you had, you didn't or couldn't remember it.

I'm sure you had dreams in the past, you wake up the next day and you say to someone, I had a dream last night but I can't remember what it was or what it was about...
