how do I socialize a puppy and a 5 year old dog? The puppy wants to be friends and the older dog keeps running away from her.  The puppy belongs to my daughter and son-in-law so the dogs don't live in the same house.  However, we do share a beach house during the summer.

you must introduce each other slowly and. let them see each other about 2 times a day for about 5-10 minutes for about a week and they should be more used to each other.
