Who is smart Albert Enstien or Bill Gates?

Brains, like beauty, are in the eye of the beholder.

While some people believe you can measure intelligence (hence, the I.Q. test); there are others who believe that it is not what you have, but what you do with it, that matters.

Just as an opinion of which is the smarter of the two gentlemen you name in your question ? I'd say Albert Einstein. Bill Gates may be smart enough, but it seems to me his smarts come from knowing how to build the proverbial 'better mousetrap.'

Einstein could have taught the mouse how to evade it.

Enstien was smart with his mind, Gates is smart with his money. Knowledge is power, with it one can rationalize a particular situation and choose the best solution for all interested parties. Money is power as well, with it one can obtain the smartest mind(s) to rationalize and manipulate the best outcome for the interested party(s). It all depends on ones values and belief system. In Enstien's day scientist and teachers had the upper hand , however in this day and age the "Golden Rule" applies, He who has the Gold, makes the rule!

All sources I've seen from a Google search show Gates' IQ as 160 and Einstein's was somewhere between 160 and 180. To some extent I agree with JK and IQ test don't tell the whole story. There are many many different areas of IQ and most IQ test only focus on a few of these. For spacial awareness Einstein probably would have scored well over 200 but in other areas he may have been average or possibly below.

I personally would agree that Einstein is smarter, Gates certainly has lots of talent and ambition but I think he has had a hell of a lot of luck as well.

Gates has aspergers syndrome and many believe that Einstein did as well (although we'll never know for sure), this is quite often linked with extremely good logic and mathematical ability but usually the person is socially retarded to some degree.

Dr. Evil methinks one day they might be putting you up there on that list of who's the most intelligent.  You have me very fascinated on wanting to understand Aspergers.
