mMri located on the old farm of my Great Great Grandparents near Milltown Kentucky in Adair Co. The location is now in 2010 on the land of Mr. and Mrs. Reed and all that have visited within the last couple of years say it is extremely hard to get to, however the last time I visited the cemetery it was only a little difficult. The old directions that I give is to take 61 North out of Columbia going towards Greensburg, turn left at #768 or Milltown Rd. ,turn left again at Milltown Church Rd., and then a final left at Wayne Legg Farm Rd. . The cemetery is located directly behind the coral and across Butler’s Fork Creek. Walk down the field till you are behind the barn and next to the fence, climb the fence and cross the creek , the cemetery is on the other side of the creek. Some say that easy access would be through the Gilpin Farm that is adjacent to the cemetery. There used to be a dirt road and a bridge leading to the cemetery , however, neither exist. The proper clothing should be worn. This cemetery now sits in an area that is part of a wild life conservatory and probably will soon be totally consumed by weeds and briars. There are 48 known persons buried in this cemetery, and more than likely more than that. The first person buried in this cemetery was Mary Polly Frazier Butler who died in 1875. There is one civil war veteran and at least 1 WWI veteran buried here. Thanks to Pat Ware, now deceased for her contributions on the listing of this cemetery, thanks to Johnny Ray Wilson for the upkeep of this cemetery for quite a few years and the large stone with names he donated, thanks to Julie Click Braden and Paula Click Smallwood for their research and physical walking of this cemetery. The following list is as accurate as can be accumulated from death records , obits, and family knowledge.Anyone who has information about other persons buried here contact me via email fairhaze@att.net.
