Maybe you can compromise with your daugher on what color she likes. Think about this: what if something happens where you must sell the house? Keep the color neutral. In the mean time, find some accessories that will complement the carpet. Your daughter is the one that will have to sleep in the room, so talk to her and make sure that this is a color she is willing to keep.
