How do I maintain the water in a small pool 10' X 36", since I don't want to keep wasting water by filling it up all the time. I do have a filter on it.

If I need chemicals, how much, how often.

i just got the same pool, i filled it up last night dumped a half cup of shock & swim and i have 1 tablet of chlorine floating in the pool. I had the pump running all night the water looks great. before swimming in it today i'm testing the water with a test kit i bought at walmart I'm also buying a small net to remove all floating debrea. I'm not a professional pool man , but i do have a little experiance with smaal pools since we live in vegas with small yards. hope this helps I'm also always looking for more info on the net
