you can put as small a pool in your yard as you wish. from a 55x25' pool with a 9 ' depth to a lap pool which is about 50'long  and thewidth may vary depending how manypeople will be using it on average.ou can put a round above the ground poolof any size such as 15' wide 4'deep to 8'in circumferene and 1' deep/ once a pool is moved above ground as it get's smaller it's nme changes from a jacuzzi down to a hot tub. you can even put a blow  up pool 6' circumference and 2" deep for a toddler. this is America and you can do whatever you want in your yard if you pull a permit.
