Dear Maura
Reviews about the slim fast diet say these shakes aren’t particularly healthy. What they’re mainly made up of are milk, sugar, fructose and cocoa. In other words, the shakes are all about milk, sugar and more sugar, with a bit and dash of emulsifiers, vegetable oils and “vitamin blends”.
Hope this is helpful to you.
They are healthy but will they result in long term weight loss? I don't think so your just end up hungry half the time. The only way to long term weight loss is to increase the metabolism naturally.
8 Tips to Help Boost Your Metabolism
I have been using Slimfast for two years and it has helped me more than any diet ever has. I normally have a problem with portion control but Slimfast takes the hunger away for four hours. I eat normally except that I replace a meal with the Slimfast. It is easy to use, can be grabbed on the go & keeps me from skipping meals. The liquid Slimfast that comes prepared in 11 oz. cans are more filling than the powdered ones you make at home, although you would think they would be the same. I have kept the weight off, the shakes keep my blood sugar at a good level & keeps me from craving junk food. I have seen the most difference in clothing size - from size 24 to 16 and my belly is flatter. Slimfast is a better choice than most people realize. It really does work. Kelloggs also has a diet drink out that has a delicious, rich, creamy taste, has the same amount of fiber (5 grams) and protein (10 grams) as Slimfast, but is only 8 oz. They are both 180 calories. Slimfast tastes good, the Kellogg's brand tastes GREAT. Now I use both. It changed my life for the better. It gives me sustained energy without the jitters and a feeling of good health overall. Sandy
