What is the right amount of time to spend in the sun each day to get enough Vitamin D? I've heard 15-20 minutes, but can you get enough Vit D in shorter time? I've also heard that the sun helps acne ...

This depends on a lot of things, because the intensity of the suns rays varies with the time of day, cloud cover, time of year, etc. It's possible to get enough sunlight in less than 15 minutes but why limit yourself? Your body won't produce too much vitamin D if it gets too much sun so there's no danger with that.

A healthy amount of sunlight will help acne yes, but too much can cause irritation of the skin which can lead to a breakout.
