My sixteen year old cat suddenly decided to tear ...

My sixteen year old cat suddenly decided to tear at the paper bag and the newspapers inside that we set aside for recyling.  This bag has been in "her room" for years and she's never done this before.  Once the papers are torn to her satisfaction, she lays in it.  She was spayed years ago, so she's not having kittens, making a nest for them- she's too old, anyway.  Why would she do this?  Otsn@aol.com

Mayber after all that time she got bored - cats do like to play with paper bags.  Sometimes having a female spayed does not change the instinct to nest.

Try leaving a few brown shopping bags around the house to see if she will play with them.  Even a carton/box with some toys in it.

Why does my 10 year old cat stay in the litterbox ...

Yes, please get your cat to the vet for an exam. It could have constipation, or a possible urinary tract infection. Cats don't usually stay in litter boxes. They do their stuff and cover it and then get out. Good luck, and I hope your kitty gets better soon.

Condoms For 12-Year-Olds:

Better than 12-year-old pregnancy. Some cultures have girls as young as eight years old marry. They "consummate" immediately, the guy divorces her the next day, and then turns her out into the street as a prostitute. Talk about a culture that has gone absolutely reprobate.
