My sixteen year old cat suddenly decided to tear ...

My sixteen year old cat suddenly decided to tear at the paper bag and the newspapers inside that we set aside for recyling.  This bag has been in "her room" for years and she's never done this before.  Once the papers are torn to her satisfaction, she lays in it.  She was spayed years ago, so she's not having kittens, making a nest for them- she's too old, anyway.  Why would she do this?  Otsn@aol.com

Mayber after all that time she got bored - cats do like to play with paper bags.  Sometimes having a female spayed does not change the instinct to nest.

Try leaving a few brown shopping bags around the house to see if she will play with them.  Even a carton/box with some toys in it.

How to cath a cat

Getting it put to sleep is the first hurdle. I suppose you would use a femoral approach.
