A surprising number of people in the US have never seen an intact penis. They have no idea what a foreskin is, what it does, what it looks like, or what it's good for. This is especially true for the older generations since the circumcision rate in the US was once as high as 95%. It is now dropped to 60% for the US as a whole and 30% in the western states. In most other western countries, the infant circumcision rate is near zero.
My sons (age 20 and 28) and my grandson (age 19 months) are intact.
The men were for circumcision (to make the sons match the dads) but I said no and so did my daughter.
As a general rule, circumcision is completely unnecessary for health reasons. The only reason I'd consider having a boy circumcised is for religious reasons - and fortunately, I'm not religious.
I have heard women say they wouldn't let a uncut penis touch them, say there dirty.
Circumcision is nothing less than genital mutilation. A crime most people are horrified by when it happens to women in other countries.
And listen, those of us who are uncircumcised do take regular showers and practice good hygiene, thank you very much.
