My husband has had severe pain for the last 12 years because of post operative problems.(Quintuple heart bt-pass.) They almost lost him twice on the table. Pain clinics failed. Now he is on 80 mgs of Oxycontin twice a day and after it wears off after 4 hours, the pain starts again. Before the operation, he never had back pain. He was strong and healthy and very active. Now he can hardly walk and we have Hospice now coming. He went in the operating room a strong man in his sixties and came out an old man looking 20 years older with a lot of post operative problems and can barely walk. A lot of plueral effusions too. He is on so many prescribed drugs I thought his kidneys and liver must be taking a beaten. I ordered Dr. Cuttler's Kidney and Liver cleanse hoping it will take the toxins out. I have been nursing him since. He has no quality of life and goes nowhere. Any advice? He has had all kinds of scans, xrays and MRIs and they come up with nothing. Maybe something happened when they tried to bring him back when he almost died twice on the operating table.
Sorry to hear your story and turned this way. What did the doctor say? It must have been very difficult for your family to see a loved one suffer this much. I could still remember how my father had to be in pain killers to manage his terminal cancer. Hoping all those tests would help improve your husband's quality of life the soonest.
