Hi:
My name is Carl Cieslikowski. I live in Palm Desert, CA.
I have a service dog, Arthur, who has all the necessary papers, etc. Since he has not flown, I'd like to bring him to the Palm Springs Airport for a dry run and to get him use to the procedure.
Kindly let me know if you can help me.
Thanks,

We cannot help you with this. You probably need to contact the Palm Springs Airport.
Call customer service for the airline that you are flying. Explain that your Service Dog is flying for the first time - most airlines are more than willing to give Service Dogs and their handlers a tour and some even take them on an empty plan to familiarize both you and your dog with the procedure. While Federal law does not require you to have ID, papers or even a vest for your dog when flying it is best to carry a generic letter from a doctor. "Miss Jones is a patient under my care & it is necessary for her to have a Service Dog to assist her". Neither you or your doctor are required to reveal the nature of your medical condition that is protected under HIPAA Good luck
