Discuss fletcherba234's answer to: How can I find out if someone actually served in the Vietnam war?

All personnel receive a Form DD-214 (Separation document) at discharge. It will detail all overseas duty, disciplinary action, decorations, clearance, etc. If your man cannot produce that DD-214 then he is probably not telling the truth.
