Discuss Bonestructure's answer to: Separation Of Church And State: For or Against?

Santorum also on Sunday told Meet The Press host David Gregory that separation of church and state was "not the founders' vision." What do you think of separation of Church and State?

I definitely believe in the separation of church and state. It is the purpose of religion to advise and counsel people, not force their values on an entire country.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

Marx he said religion is the narcotic of the people.  I say different.  Narcotic only feels good when you have an injured.

Go to Gorky Park in Moscow sometime.  They call it Peritania, that means The Needle.  Look at all the needle you see on the ground and dead people who take too much.  They take all the haroin they can getting and mix it with amphetamine.

Russian Orthodox give us real comfort, not from drugs that forming habit but from clear thinking that makes sense.  The Soviets go atheist and everyone going without comfort or peace of mind.

Narcotic making very bad habit.  Religion making good health instead.
