I can't send mail. I keep getting the message ...

I can't send mail. I keep getting the message. Sorry we are temporaily unable to send mail. Please try again in a few minutes. This has been going on for over 24 hours. I have done everyyhing that is says to do in the help. Even deleted AOL and the redownloaded it. I still can not sent mail. Can someone please help. Thanks, Sandra
