Selling fish to pet store?

I was thinking of maybe breeding guppies or platies and possiblly selling them to a local pet store. I was also wondering if its even legal to sell guppies or platys to pet stores, I live in Iowa. I've studied up a bit but I still would like some extra advice especiallyhow many fry guppies and platys lay
