I need info on how to buy cheap repo or seized cars for sale at government auctions?

Have you experienced a seized auto auctions? Did you purchase any vehicles and were there any problems?

I was hoping to buy a seized car below retail price. I always hear about police auctions and government auctions online and in commercials but they always lead to me having to pay for a membership. Does anyone know of a legit police auction or a place where I can buy seized cars? I'd prefer any place in new jersey.

Repossessed or seized cars are not just sold at auctions. A bank or other re-possessor must get fair market value, not just anything. Once a car is repossessed, the finance company or bank will have it cleaned up for sale, just like a dealer would do on a trade in car. If they get more than was owed on the car, they have to give the extra money to the person they repossessed the car from.

Try the local banks or credit unions. Credit unions will probably have more cars than a bank since they usually make more car loans.

seized cars are no less reliable than any other used vehicle randomly chosen off a dealers lot or from the private seller...

ADD: After struggling for quite a long time to find the answers I was looking for, I have finally taken Danny's advice and decided to pay for good service. I will never regret it, I got my answers in less than 20 minutes!! fantastic!

I see commercials about buying cars impounded by the police. Is this really possible?

Looking for any car can be risky....you might want to take a friend who has car knowledge. There are many deals that are in your own town that are most likely better than government auctions......for example cheap used cars in your area
