Is it possible to find bargains?

Have you ever bought an seized, impounded or repo car for sale, were there problemst? Did you find a deal i.e. a good price compared to the real value?

What have your experiences been with government auctions for impounded, repo,  or seized cars for sale?

Dear Bill:What you are seeking, I wish I could find these areas, like yourself. Remember anything the government or anyone else is trying to get rid of is because they can't get anything more out.

Are government seized cars reliable, or are they too good to be true?

I am currently browsing repo cars and I've heard about these gov't auctions of seized cars. I browsed the websites and I've seen brand new, $30,000 and up cars sold for $7g and less. Are these cars reliable?

Are repo or bank auto auctions a rip off?

There are auto auctions in the LA area, cars that come from repos etc.  this is where the dealerships go to buy a lot of their cars for their used car lots. But do ordinary people go to these as well?

They say people can get nice cards for like 60% or more less than at a used car dealership. Is this true?

I've bought repo vehicles at gov auctions for as much as 70-80% off, but I've heard ou can get better deals. You should always:

- Inspect your car beforehand and check title and vehicle history report.

- Check past auctions. Study who the attendees are, local rules and top bids.

-Don't get emotional and end up bidding more than you should. Check for hidden costs.
